When more is needed, our adult and paediatric Intensive Care Units provide round-the-clock monitoring and life support..
OR Management & Day Surgical Unit
For many procedures, you can have your surgery and return home the same day. Our Day Surgical Unit guides you from arrival and preparation through surgery and recovery, so you are ready to go home safely and on time. Behind the scenes, our Operating Room Management team coordinates scheduling, sterile instrument preparation, equipment readiness, and quality assurance, so every procedure runs safely and smoothly.
Anaesthesiology
KFSH&RC's Anaesthesiology team provides safe, evidence-based care before, during, and after surgery. Our specialists tailor each anaesthetic plan to the individual patient, combining advanced monitoring, ventilatory support, and pain management. We support everything from routine procedures to subspecialty anaesthesia for cardiac surgery, transplantation, neurosurgery, and complex cancer surgery in adults and children.
Adult Critical Care
Our Adult Intensive Care team provides 24/7 advanced care for critically ill adults across our medical and surgical ICUs, from severe infection, shock, and organ failure to recovery after complex cancer surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and major transplants, including bone marrow transplant and CAR-T cell therapy. When standard care is not enough, we provide advanced life support such as ECMO, and our rapid-response teams extend critical care to patients throughout the hospital."
Paediatric Critical Care
Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit cares for children facing the most serious medical and surgical conditions, including cancer, transplant, weakened immune systems, and complex multi-organ illness. Using advanced monitoring, proven treatments, and life support such as ECMO, our specialists are with each child around the clock, working closely with surgical, oncology, and cardiology teams.
Our dedicated Paediatric Cardiac Surgical ICU treats congenital and acquired heart conditions at every age, from newborns to adolescents, including the Norwood procedure, the Berlin Heart, and paediatric heart transplantation.
