Our Centre is one of the few high-volume international transplant institutions offering liver and small bowel transplantation. We employ advanced surgical techniques, including robotic surgery for donors and recipients, with extensive experience in living-donor liver transplantation to optimize recovery.

We provide expert medical management for adults with chronic liver disease, end-stage liver disease (ESLD), and acute liver failure. We offer comprehensive evaluation for deceased and living-donor liver transplantation, with sophisticated management of associated complications. Our team has extensive experience in pre-transplant assessment for severe autoimmune liver diseases, genetic liver diseases, and high-risk hepatocellular carcinoma.

As a leading centre for pediatric liver and small bowel transplantation, we address complex, congenital, and acquired liver diseases in infants, children, and adolescents. Our expertise includes rare metabolic and genetic disorders such as biliary atresia and progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis, acute liver failure, and complete pre- and post-operative care to ensure optimal long-term growth and development.

The Small Bowel Rehabilitation Section is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, and among the few globally, offering comprehensive intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation services. We treat adult and pediatric patients with intestinal failure due to short bowel syndrome and congenital or hereditary small intestinal diseases. We are one of the largest centres worldwide managing complex cases such as mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalopathy syndrome.

Our state-of-the-art Endoscopy Unit provides advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services for adult and pediatric patients, including pre- and post-transplant care. Our interventions range from routine screening to specialized procedures for biliary complications, complex stenting, and endoscopic bariatric procedures. We ensure rapid access to interventional hepatobiliary and gastroenterological care for complex patients.
